WHO WE ARE
Global Empowerment Movement (GEM) Corp. is a United States non-profit, humanitarian organization and a federal 501© (3) corporation dedicated to administering empowerment Initiatives that rebuild lives and communities; to addressing African immigrant victimization issues and to providing support for families, single mothers and children in distress as well as to bridging the gap between Africans and People of African Descent in the Diaspora, scattered in our local communities in the United States, Africa, and around the world.
The Global Empowerment Movement was founded to address critical issues in the local community, including support for single mothers and their children in distress as well as to serve as the platform to connect resources, investment, funds, and people to rebuilding Africa – the motherland.
GEM provides an international platform for economic empowerment and works with the Blessings of Africa Empowerment Foundation (BOA Empowerment Foundation), a Nigerian registered African affiliate to exchange ideas and facilitate empowerment initiatives. GEM and BOA support poverty stricken, at-risk families and their children prone to abuse and victimization to avoid becoming victims of human trafficking and prostitution by educating at-risk families and youth about warning signs through provision of educational, anti-human trafficking materials through increased awareness, including movies and book, training, advocacy and collaboration.
