by admin | Jul 6, 2018 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Dr. Queen Blessing Itua alongside Sen. James co-hosted the African-Diaspora at the Capitol.

Requesting the economic department to support her and her community economic empowerment efforts, Blessing hosted the much-awaited event tagged; ‘A Taste Of Africa In The Diaspora: Bridging The Gap.

Blessing’s platforms, Global Empowerment Movement Corp (501c3 Status) and Blessings of Africa Empowerment Foundation (African Empowerment Foundation), also played symbolic roles to actualize the event.

The African Diaspora Day, which was held on Friday, March 23, had the support of the Georgia Legislators, members of the Black Caucus, Lieutenant Governor, and others.

While speaking of the event, Blessing says it is her earnest desire to unite Africans in the Diaspora, African Americans, and other African Descendants as well as to connect them to join in rebuilding Africa.

Blessing who authored Georgia Senate Resolution 381, adds that it is her hope that “we can continue to bridge the Gap and to develop international partnerships which support the emergence of Africa’s private sector, promote direct foreign investment in Africa, and leverage the imbalances in Africa’s growing economy.”
