Global Empowerment Movement (GEM) Corporation duly established with a 501 (c)(3) status since 2015 is a United Nations Non-Governmental Organization in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2018.
About Us
GEM provides economic empowerment, advocacy, and support of People in Need to better-living conditions. Our programs educate, enrich, and empower the poverty-stricken, at-risk families with life skill training and support, capacity development, financial and economic empowerment, and overall wellness education. We work closely with our partners to provide support for women and youths, with a focus on the eradication of human trafficking, poverty and reducing income and gender inequality.
As an organization accredited by the United Nations, GEM USA actively participates at United Nations meetings, champions the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals (with a focus on Sustainable Development Goal 1 to 5), and conducts parallel side events to promote – the eradication of poverty, abuse, victimization as well as the
well-being of marginalized women, children and youth, ensuring that “no woman, youth, or child is left behind.” The result is increased anti-human trafficking awareness and prevention, increased women empowerment, economic enrichment across many communities. GEM USA tirelessly advocates Global Peace and Unity because we are better and stronger together.
GEM serves as a resource organization for Members across different States and Regions, as well as Partner organizations at the local, regional and international level to provide organization and leadership, and to address the advancement of our target beneficiaries.

Through self-funding, we provide support to people in need while promoting volunteerism, humanitarianism, and environmental sustainability. Since 2015, we have hosted several events at the United Nations Headquarters advocating for poverty and human trafficking eradication, climate change, women empowerment, etc. and support to communities in the USA and support other organizations, including Africa.
GEM main focus is the empowerment of Women (the heartbeat of the family), and family, especially the poor and disadvantaged people to enhance their ability to function and participate actively in the social, economic and political mainstream of their family, community and nation through such program as Women In Need (WIN);
GEM youths’ development program is focus on amplifying the ability of Youth to function as the leaders of tomorrow starting today. The implementation of the Youths In Need (YIN) program in Atlanta Georgia, United States of America and Nigeria, West Africa.
GEM Social transformation program is aimed at empowering victims of subjugation (domestic violence/human trafficking); abused and abandoned, poor Single Mothers and Children in Distress (SMACID); widows; and orphans, who because of their circumstances are prone to impoverishment, subjugation, and crimes of human trafficking and homelessness.
Through advocacy, economic, and financial empowerment programs, GEM is able to bring succor to the poor and vulnerable people and communities disadvantaged by poverty, locally and around the world, with a dedicated focus on the poorest of the poor, victims of human trafficking/gender-based domestic violence, abused and abandoned Single Mothers and Children in Distress (SMACID).

Our Work
We work to provide empowerment and economic advocacy in our local and global communities. Internationally, we work with the Blessings of Africa (BOA) Empowerment Foundation in Africa and Global affiliates to empower and to bless lives by empowering the voiceless, blessing the hopeless, dignifying the needy, advocating for gender and economic equality, human trafficking, and homelessness.
We are proud to partner with America Capital Solutions, Global Energy Management Technology, Global WIN, African Unity Sixth Region USA Foundation, and many other working groups on issues relating to poverty, human trafficking, economic empowerment, and homelessness
Our Guiding Principles

Homelessness is a Global phenomenon affecting many communities including American society. Homelessness is a societal problem that is not stratified, it can affect both the lowly and the rich depending on the psycho-social state people found themselves.

Our Initiatives

Beyond the essential volunteer work and advocacy, to truly dignify and support the people in need and the victims of human trafficking, abuse, abandonment, and homelessness and help them out of their circumstances, we need real, consistent action, implementation, and both financial resources and material assistance.
